ANIMAL PASSPORTS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION

Equine Section Rules & Guidelines:

  • An approved riding hat must be worn at all times when mounted (includes fancy dress)
  • Age is as on day of the show
  • Equitation classes – judging is to be based on the effectiveness of the rider, and classes may include a suitable jump at the discretion of the judge.
  • Large classes will be split at the discretion of the judge using any criteria he/she thinks fit.
  • Riders aged 8yrs and under – Competent riders aged 8 or under may enter un-aided classes, but may NOT then enter the equivalent lead rein class.
  • Horse & Pony Owners are reminded that they are responsible for the actions of their animals and should hold appropriate insurance
  • General rules – horse and pony section

The committee reserves the right to ask for any animal to be removed from the show field of considered to be dangerous to others. Please clean up all horse droppings.

Target Running Times

9:00 am Showing classes commence – Ring One
9:30 am Clear round Jumping until 11:30 am – Ring Four
10:00 am Working Hunter classes commence – Ring Two
11:30 am Show Jumping classes commence – Ring Three
11:30 am Handy Horse and Pony class commences – Ring Four
2:00 pm Fancy dress will not start before 2pm
3:00 pm Gymkhana & mounted games will not start before 3pm

RING ONE: SHOWING CLASSES commencing 9:00 am

Entry Fee £5 per class

Judge: TBC –  Rosettes to 6th place
Qualifier for North Wales Showing Finals

  • Class 1                     Best Turned out – Ridden rider 12 years and over
  • Class 2                    Best Turned out – Ridden rider 11 years and younger
  • Class 3                    Ridden Veteran – Horse or Pony aged 15 and over
  • Class 4                    Ridden Native and Coloured
  • Class 5                    Ridden Nervous or Novice
  • Class 6                    Ridden Family Horse or Pony
  • Class 7                    Equitation – Lead Rein – Rider aged 8 and under
  • Class 8                    Equitation – Rider aged 14 and under 

RING TWO: following WORKING HUNTER

  • Class 9                    Best Riding Club Type Pony – 14.2hh and under (rider any age)
  • Class 10                  Best Riding Club Type Horse – over 14.2hh (rider any age)

RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIP

First prize winners from Classes 3 through 10

  • Class 11                 In Hand Native and Coloured
  • Class 12                 Fancy Dress – not commencing before 2pm


CLEAR ROUND JUMPING – RING FOUR – runs 9.30 am to 11.30 am

Entry Fee £5 per class

Judge: TBC –  Rosettes to 6th place.

  • Class 13               12.2hh & Under – fences will not exceed 30cms (lead rein permitted)
  • Class 14               13.2hh & Under – fences will not exceed 40cms
  • Class 15               14.2hh & Under – fences will not exceed 60cms
  • Class 16               Horses over 14.2hh – fences not exceeding 70cms

WORKING HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP

First prize winners from Classes 13 through 16 – no fences

 


RING THREE: OPEN SHOW JUMPING commencing 11:30 am

Entry Fee £5 per class

Judge: TBC –  Rosettes to 6th place.
Open showjumping – not affiliated to BSJA

  • Class 17               Open – Jumps will not exceed 50cms     
  • Class 18               Open – Jumps will not exceed 60cms
  • Class 19               Open – jumps will not exceed 70cms
  • Class 20               Open – jumps will not exceed 80cms

 


RING FOUR : HANDY HORSE / PONY follows Clear Round

Entry Fee £5 per class

Judge: Gina Williams –  Rosettes to 6th place

  • Class 21                Handy Horse or Pony– can compete Ridden or In Hand


GYMKHANA / MOUNTED GAMES commencing approx 3:00 pm

Entry Fee £3 per class or £15 for all classes

Judge: TBC –  Rosettes to 4th place
Lead Rein classes are for riders 8 years old and under.
